New Kia PBV Vans for Sale

Kia has entered the commercial vehicle market with one of the most ambitious electric van launches in recent years. The Kia PBV - which stands for Platform Beyond Vehicle - is a purpose-built range of fully electric vans designed from the ground up for business and personal use alike.

Unlike conventional van conversions, every model you consider in the Kia electric van range sits on a bespoke electric platform - meaning you're choosing a van engineered from scratch for electrification, not a petrol model adapted after the fact.

At Vertu, we're proud to offer the full range of new Kia PV5 vans, with knowledgeable colleagues ready to help you find the right model for your fleet or your business.

The New Kia PBV Range Explained

Kia launched its PBV range in the UK in 2026, marking the brand's first dedicated entry into the light commercial vehicle market. The range currently centres on the Kia PV5, a medium-sized electric van available in three body configurations: Cargo, Passenger, and Chassis Cab.

All three variants share the same core platform - the Hyundai Motor Group's E-GMP.S - but are optimised for very different purposes. The Kia PV5 Cargo is built for urban logistics and last-mile delivery. The Kia PV5 Passenger is tailored for people-moving, shuttle services, and family use. The Kia PV5 Chassis Cab provides a bare cab and chassis for operators who need a custom body or specialist conversion.

Looking ahead, Kia plans to expand the PBV lineup with the Kia PV7, a larger van due to arrive in 2027. This will give fleet operators and growing businesses a wider choice across different payload and size requirements. For now, the PV5 is the commercial foundation of a range that looks set to reshape what British businesses expect from electric vans.

Kia PBV Body Types and Variants

The PBV range is built around genuine modularity. Each variant serves a distinct purpose, and the choice between them comes down to how you intend to use your van.

The Kia PV5 Cargo is the commercial workhorse of the range. It offers 4.4 cubic metres of load space, a low 419mm rear step height, and split rear doors that open to 180 degrees - wide enough to accommodate two Euro pallets. Available as a three-door or four-door configuration, this Kia commercial vehicle suits delivery drivers, tradespeople, and logistics operators who need dependable, cost-effective daily mileage.

The Kia PV5 Passenger redefines what a flexible seating electric van can be. With 1,330 litres of luggage space behind five seats - or 3,615 litres with the second row folded flat - it works equally well as a family electric van, a business electric van, or an electric shuttle vehicle. Wide 775mm sliding doors and a 399mm low step-in height make boarding simple for all passengers.

The Kia PV5 Chassis Cab is aimed at operators who need a purpose-built conversion body. With a payload of up to 995kg and a dedicated cab-and-frame configuration, these Kia electric vehicles provide a flexible base for refrigerated bodies, welfare units, tippers, and more. It is available in Essential and Plus grades, both powered by the 51.5 kWh battery.

Kia EV - PBV Technology and Features

Every model in the Kia PBV range comes with connected technology, safety systems, and driver convenience features as standard - a reflection of Kia's reputation for value across its lineup.

At the heart of the cabin is a 12.9-inch touchscreen running Kia's in-car infotainment system, paired with a 7.5-inch digital cockpit display. Both screens are sharp, responsive, and intuitive to use. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard across all grades, and the system supports OTA updates - meaning your PBV receives software improvements for the powertrain, suspension, and driver assistance systems automatically, without a workshop visit.

Kia Connect is included free for seven years on all Kia PV5 van models. This connected services platform lets you access real-time traffic, locate charging stations, check vehicle status remotely, and control certain functions via the Kia app on your smartphone.

On Plus grade models, vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability is standard, allowing you to power tools, devices, or appliances directly from the van's battery. A 220V outlet is fitted inside the vehicle, making the PBV a genuinely versatile mobile workspace.

Safety technology is comprehensive across both grades. Standard features include lane following assist, highway driving assist, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, front and rear parking sensors and Intelligent Speed Limit Assist. Plus grade adds blind spot collision avoidance, Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance, Safe Exit Warning, and parking collision assist.
