The awards are held annually to celebrate new inventions and designs across a range of industries. This year, the Volvo EX30 won the category for ‘Most Revolutionary Transport’. Read on to find out more.
‘Most Revolutionary Transport’
Launched in 2023, the EX30 has enjoyed long-standing success, winning over 10 major automotive awards. These include Car of the Year from The Sun, Carwow, and Electrifying.com, plus World Urban Car in the World Car Awards. It was even named Best of the Best in the 2024 Red Dot Design Awards.
Now, the small electric SUV has added the major category win of ‘Most Revolutionary Transport’ to its portfolio. The winning factors? Efficient performance and sustainable design. So much so, that the EX30 has achieved the smallest carbon footprint in the Volvo range yet.

Volvo’s smallest-ever SUV
It may be Volvo’s smallest SUV, but the Volvo EX30 has a lot to offer. It’s available with three battery options, with the Extended Range Single Motor 64kWh battery offering up to 296 miles (WLTP) range.
Charging is quick and simple, with a 175kW DC fast charger giving you a 10-80% top-up in just 28 minutes. On the road, you’ll never have to worry about range, as a 20% charge will trigger a reminder along with nearby charging stations for your convenience.
The smooth electric powertrain is packed with performance, with instant torque enabling 0-62mph in just 3.6 seconds. The battery is also pre-conditioned to reach the right temperature prior to charging, so you can power up efficiently.
Four nature-inspired interiors with Scandinavian design create the ultimate haven for all journeys. There’s Breeze, Mist, Pine, and Indigo – each offering a colour-coordinated theme made using recycled materials. Here, style, comfort, and sustainability come together as one.
The driver’s cabin presents a clean, focused set-up with a squared sport steering wheel and slim, ergonomic seats. These can be heated with a simple tap of the 12.3” tablet-style screen – designed for easy use. Use ‘Calm View’ here to filter out the buzz and focus on essential driving information.
As for entertainment, the soundbar provides high-performance audio to play your favourite music. Streamed using wireless smartphone connectivity and Google built-in. Five ambient themes also help to create the perfect mood, with Scandi-inspired illumination and sound.
