Volkswagen Adds Black Edition To Popular SUV Line-ups

Volkswagen has announced the addition of Black Editions to the Tiguan and T-Cross line-ups, which will be available to order from dealerships later this week.

The new Black Editions will sit above the R-Line trim in the line-up and feature a raft of exterior styling elements – including new 18-inch York alloys on the T-Cross and 20-inch rims on the Tiguan.

Both cars will come with IQ.LIGHT matrix headlamps and LED rear tail lights with the Tiguan also gaining a driver assistance package.

The T-Cross, which will start from £29,985, is available with a choice of two different 1.5 TSI engines, with a 115 PS unit that can be bought with either a manual or DSG gearbox and a 150 PS unit that comes with DSG.

The Tiguan meanwhile, which starts at £46,605, is offered with two 2.0 TSI engines with DSG and 4MOTION all-wheel drive, including a new 204 PS unit that hasn’t previously been offered on the model in the UK.

That new engine will also be made available on the R-Line version of the Tiguan, priced at £45,605.
