New Cars Arriving on the Motability Scheme in 2025

Whether your lease is due for renewal, or you are thinking about joining the Motability Scheme, 2025 is shaping up to be a great year for new cars.

Kia, MINI, and Volkswagen are all set to release new models which will be available on the Scheme.

Keep reading to learn more about what you can expect from the Motability Scheme in 2025.

Kia EV3

Despite being the newest addition to the Kia EV line-up, the EV3 is already making its mark. The compact SUV was recently named Car of the Year by Electrifying.com.

The modern EV is set to be available in three grades in the UK – Air, GT, and GT-Line S, with a range of up to 372 miles (WLTP). It will offer all the technology you need for a safe and connected drive, as well as fast charging times from 10-80% in around 31 minutes.

There’s room for all your daily essentials with a class-leading boot space of up to 460 litres. As well as an additional 25 litres of storage under the bonnet also known as the ‘frunk’.

Kia EV5

Sitting in between the compact EV3 and larger EV9 will be the Kia EV5. Set to arrive in the UK in 2025, it will offer three options – Standard, Long Range and Long Range AWD.

The stylish SUV shares the same design characteristics as the EV3 and EV9 with slight differences. These include Kia’s ‘tiger face’ grille and a larger interior thanks to the wheels being pushed to the corners.

In terms of range, Kia has yet to confirm the full UK specification. But keep an eye on our newsroom for more details when they become available.

MINI Aceman

Meet the older sibling of the all-electric MINI Cooper – the MINI Aceman. If you are looking for a Motability car that is compact yet spacious, the crossover Aceman is a great choice.

Two models are set to be available in the range - E and SE, and both are fully electric. The Aceman E will offer a range of up to 192 miles (WLTP) and the SE will offer a range of around 252 miles (WLTP).

The spacious interior will boast a minimalist design with a large OLED circular display taking centre stage on the dashboard. There’s also ample storage space with up to 300 litres when all five seats are in place. This increases to up to 1,005 litres when the rear seats are folded down.

#smart 5

Back in 2019, smart was the first manufacturer to go fully electric. The newest and largest addition to the line-up is the smart #5.

The bold SUV will be able to take on all of life’s adventures with a 100kWh battery and a maximum range of up to 348 miles (WLTP). With fast charging, you can also power the battery from 10-80% in around 15 minutes.

Inside, you’ll find dual 13” OLED infotainment displays and a 10.3” digital instrument cluster. As well as an augmented reality head-up display which places all important driving information in your eyeline.

Volkswagen ID.2

Earlier this year, Volkswagen announced details of a small, affordable electric car – the ID.2. Sitting under the Volkswagen ID.3, it's set to offer the spaciousness of the Golf and affordability of the Polo.

While full specs for the new model are yet to be released, Volkswagen has confirmed that two battery sizes will be available - 38kWh and 56kWh. The 56kWh battery will offer fast charging from 10-80% in around 20 minutes and an estimated range of up to 280 miles (WLTP).

Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer

The ID.7 Tourer is the first fully electric estate car from Volkswagen which will set a new standard for comfort and functionality. With 77kWh and 86kWh battery options available, it offers a maximum range of up to 424 miles (WLTP).

With three trims to choose from – Pro Match, Pro S Match, and GTX 4MOTION, all feature massage seats as standard. Other features include a head-up display and LED matrix headlights for improved visibility.

The spacious boot offers up to 545 litres of space when all five seats are in place. When the rear seats are folded down, this increases to up 1,714 litres. Accessing the boot when your hands are full is also made easy with an electric tailgate.
