Jaguar Marks The End of the F-TYPE

Jaguar Marks The End of the F-TYPE

The last car produced will join the Jaguar Heritage Collection, 50 years after the final E-TYPE.

  • Jaguar is marking the end of the F-TYPE era by adding it to its Heritage Collection.
  • The F-TYPE is still available to buy until early 2025.
  • From 2025, Jaguar will become an electric only brand and phase out internal combustion engines.

It’s the end of an era as Jaguar says goodbye to the iconic F-TYPE. Launched in 2013, the final model produced at the Castle Bromwich facility will join the Jaguar Heritage Collection.

The F-TYPE will sit alongside its predecessor, the E-TYPE, which joined the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust (JDHT) 50 years ago to the day. Both models will forever be remembered as an integral part of Jaguar’s history.

Reminiscent of the last E-TYPE built in 1974, the final F-TYPE is a 5.0 litre V8 Convertible in Giola Green. Design details include a black roof and Tan Windsor leather interior.

The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust will be custodians of the final model. Later this year, the car is set to be involved in a series of special events and activities.

Both the E-TYPE and F-TYPE ended production to usher in exciting new eras for the manufacturer. In 1974, the game-changing Jaguar XJ-S arrived shortly afterwards. While the F-TYPE marks the dawn of a new all-electric generation for Jaguar.

In 2025, Jaguar will become an electric-only brand with an eagerly anticipated four-door electric GT on the horizon.

You can visit the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Museum in Gaydon to see both models in person alongside the final XE, XF, and XF Sportsbrake.

Jaguar F-TYPE history

The Jaguar F-TYPE was launched in 2013 and has received critical acclaim ever since.

It marked the first two-seater sports car from Jaguar in 40 years and went onto win the 2013 World Car Design of the Year award. The following year, a coupe was also introduced.

Since its release, 87,731 F-TYPE's have rolled off the production line.
