Life under new Sunderland manager Regis Le Bris will start with a trip to Cardiff City after the fixtures for the new EFL Championship season were confirmed.

The Black Cats will compete at the Stadium of Light for the first time in the new campaign during the second round of fixtures with a game against Sheffield Wednesday before ties against two sides who rejoin the division in the shape of relegated Burnley and promoted Portsmouth.

The first derby of the season against Middlesbrough comes in September at home, with the reverse fixture in February, whilst the end of season run-in includes a trip to promoted Oxford United before ending at home against QPR.
