The Big Event is back, with the first event taking place at the NEC in Birmingham. If you missed it, not to worry!

The Big Event – NEC Birmingham
On the 17th and 18th May, the first of the Big Events 2024 took place at the NEC in Birmingham. Over XX visitors came over both days to take advantage of:
- 160+ cars, Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAVs) and adaptations on show.
- 70+ scooters and powered wheelchairs.
- Test drives on the latest adapted vehicles as well as standard cars.
- Motability specialists and speakers to answer any questions and offer support. The Electric Vehicle Information Hub, providing support and advice for leasing electric vehicles.
With such a fantastic range of vehicles and specialist support, the Big Event is the perfect opportunity to find your next vehicle.
When are the next Big Event dates?
If you want to attend one of the next events, you’ll find them at the following locations:
Westpoint – Exeter
Friday 28th and Saturday 29th June, 9am – 4pm
Yorkshire Event Centre – Harrogate
Friday 9th and Saturday 10th August, 9am – 4pm
Royal Highland Centre – Edinburgh
Friday 13th and Saturday 14th September, 9am – 4pm
What will be at each event?
Your handy hub for all things Motability, each event offers:
- Motability vehicles from a range of manufacturers.
- Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAVs) and adapted vehicles.
- A display of powered wheelchairs and scooters.
- The Electric Vehicle Information Hub to help you with everything from choosing an electric car to charging, and more.
You can test drive vehicles to get an idea of which one is right for you and talk to Motability’s specialists for any questions. Adaptations and WAV specialists will also be on hand to provide any specific support needed.

The Big Event provides the perfect place to find your next vehicle and get answers to any questions. All events are free to attend, and you don’t need to book your place in advance. You can however register your interest if you like for a particular event.
