The all-inclusive leasing package allows you to exchange all or part of your mobility allowance to lease a brand-new car, and covers the cost of servicing, repairs, tax, and insurance for up to three named drivers.

How does the Motability Scheme work?
Leasing a vehicle through the Motability Scheme is quick and easy. Check your eligibility for the Scheme, and start your search by browsing our range of Motability cars online or visiting your local Vertu Motors dealership.
Exchange all or part of your mobility allowance, and if a higher spec model catches your eye, you can pay a one-off Advance Payment which covers the cost between your mobility allowance and total cost of your lease. Please note, the Advance Payment is non-refundable.
How do I qualify for the Motability Scheme?
You could qualify for the Motability Scheme if you receive one of the following mobility allowances and have at least 12 months' award length remaining. If you have a child aged three or over, you can also make a Motability application on their behalf if they are entitled to the Higher Mobility Component of DLA.

What are the benefits of joining the Motability Scheme?
The Motability Scheme lets you lease a brand-new car every three years, with servicing, repairs, tax, and insurance all taken care of so all you have to pay for is fuel.

Adapt your Motability vehicle
The Motability Scheme offers around 500 vehicle adaptions to help make driving or travelling easier. Many of these can be fitted at no extra cost at the start of your lease and we can help you find the right adaption for your needs.
The future is electric
Many drivers are making the switch to electric, and the Motability Scheme makes it accessible to everyone. When you lease your first pure battery electric vehicle a home charge point can be installed at no extra cost.
Don't have access to off-road parking? Gain access to a network of over 8,000 nationwide charging points with the BP Pulse Polar Network or install a chargepoint at an approved drivers address.
Please note, you must contact and get approval from Motability for chargepoint installation at an approved drivers address.

The Motability Scheme Online Account gives you flexibility. You can manage your lease on the go and access your information - wherever you are.
Don't want to deal with cheques? When you use the Motability Scheme Online Account, you can save your bank details and receive any payments or refunds by bank transfer. Don't waste time waiting for your cheque payments to clear.
If you are an existing customer of the Motability Scheme without an appointee, you can also start your next application online. Simply update your personal details and allowance information before visiting a dealership, which then allows your Motability advisor to dedicate more time to helping you choose your next car.

New Vehicle Payment
The New Vehicle Payment from the Motability Scheme could mean you receive £750. This payment is particularly helpful in times of higher living costs and energy bills. It can assist you in maximising the benefits of your Motability car.
The £750 payment can be applied towards some or all of the Advance Payment of a new vehicle. The New Vehicle Payment enables greater flexibility when choosing your Motability car.
To be eligible for the New Vehicle Payment, you must be a New-to-Scheme customer who has placed an order or received a new vehicle before the end of 2023. Existing customers are also eligible, provided they have an active agreement as of December 31st, 2021.
Good Condition Bonus
When you return your vehicle at the end of your lease, you could be eligible for an up to £350 Good Condition Bonus, if it is still in good condition.
When you return your Motability vehicle it is sold through a network of dealers or at an auction house. Returning your car in good condition helps Motability to achieve the best prices, keeping costs low for all customers.
The amount you receive depends on the length of your lease, it's currently £250 for a three-year lease and £350 for a five-year lease. Motability will automatically send you the bonus if you are eligible. The fastest way to receive the New Vehicle Payment and Good Condition Bonus is by bank transfer via the Motability Scheme Online Account.
